Take a photo and choose an effect. Save it and you'll create a Live Photo. Press and hold on it in Photos or Messages and you will see your surprise come alive: shatter, jaw flapping, and more. 33 effects for now, from glitches and halftone dots to googly eyes, face swaps, and dance moves, plus a Halloween set with ghosts, pumpkin heads, vampire fangs, and a jump scare.
Spirit Photo hides a second picture inside the Live Photo that only shows up when you switch it to Long Exposure in Photos, like a ghost caught on film. Save a Live Photo, or share any effect as a regular video.
Save videos of any effect for free, with a watermark. A handful of effects and a different premium effect every day are free to save as Live Photos. Surprise Photos Pro is available as a subscription each month, each year, or as a one-time unlock. For iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
